How to install IPTV Harmony on Android TV & Google TV
On Android TV and Google TV, including Sony, Philips, TCL and Chromecast with Google TV, you install a player from the Google Play Store and enter your IPTV Harmony login. No sideloading is needed. Most people are watching in about 8 minutes.
Step-by-step setup
You need your IPTV Harmony login from the welcome email and about 8 minutes. Login type on this device: Xtream Codes or M3U link.
Step 1: Open the Play Store
From the home screen, open Apps → Google Play Store. On Google TV, select Search and type the app name.
Step 2: Install the player
Search for TiviMate or IPTV Smarters Pro and select Install. Check the developer name before installing; several apps use similar names.
Step 3: Add your playlist
In TiviMate choose Add playlist → Xtream Codes. In IPTV Smarters choose Login with Xtream Codes API. Enter the three details from your welcome email.
Step 4: Choose what to load
Tick live TV, and films and series if your player supports them, then continue. The programme guide downloads automatically with an Xtream login.
Step 5: Set your favourites
Long-press a channel to add it to favourites. In TiviMate, favourites appear as their own group at the top of the guide.
If something doesn't work
Most problems come from a mistyped login, an outdated app or a weak network connection. These are the issues we see most on Android TV & Google TV.
The programme guide shows the wrong times
Check the device's time zone under Settings → System → Date & time, then refresh the guide in the player's settings.
The app closes when loading the channel list
Clear the app's cache under Settings → Apps, restart the device and add the playlist again.
Tips for Android TV & Google TV
- TV boxes with an Ethernet port give the steadiest picture. Use it if the router is close.
- Turn on “match frame rate” in the player if sport looks jerky.

Does Chromecast with Google TV work?
Yes. It runs Google TV, so you install the player from the Play Store and follow the steps on this page.
